Even with help he could barely get a decision against a natural fighter. Once Marquez got some help and had the chance to play even we all saw what happened.

That's simply not true. Fighters prior to PEDs have moved up in weight to win titles in multiple weight classes. Henry Armstrong won 3 world titles. Featherweight Lightweight and Welterweight. He held all the titles at one point at the same time. He also fought for the Middleweight title but it ended in a draw.
