This source also says that Lebedev can't fight 3 times within 9 months. Thats too much for him especially for his age.

Cant find the source, found it on another forum, looks like its been translated though

WBA heavyweight heavyweight champion Denis Lebedev (29-2, 22 KOs) says he still has the chance to play in the World Boxing Super Series, where he will also take part. Krzysztof Włodarczyk (53-3-1, 37 KO).

So far the organizers have confirmed the start of six of the eight competitors. Among the candidates to fill the remaining seats are Krzysztof Głowacki (27-1, 17 KO) and Lebedev. Recently, the Russian promoter has argued recently that the 37-year-old has other plans, but the interested man says he has not yet responded to the deal that his manager Wadim Korniov has received.

        - I have not said yet "no". Theoretically I can perform in these competitions. However, I would like the champion to get a little bit more than a challenger, and that's the reason they are going to be equal, "said Lebedev, who will face Yakaterynburg on Sunday against Mark Flanagan (22-4, 15 KOs).

He added that he wants to know more details about the tournament, such as exact start dates and earnings.

LOL, youtube translator had trouble with that one, bits about oil drilling, giving up smoking, and failed actors.

            Thanks anyway.

Kudryashov vs Gassiev will be a f-cking war

Kudryashov could be P4P the hardest puncher in boxing so all of his fights will be interesting, cause you know all it takes is one big punch. He has some serious One-punch KO power

To be honest all fights will be wars in this tournament. Only top fighters with a huge KO percentage. I would love to see Gassiev vs Huck. Now that would be a war.

I hate to scheme on behalf of one boxer at the expense of every other boxer in the division and the fans, but Lebedev is older now and has been in a ton of wars, etc. Regardless, it sounds like can't fight 3x a year anyway, so as the only name cruiserweight not in the tournament, it would actually be smart in a way for him to sit out the tournament. Then when the tournament ends, the winner will have every belt but his, and will have essentially cleaned out the entire division but him, and the only fight left will be him vs the winner. It's essentially a bye to the finals for him, or the post-finals. Whoever wins the tournament will have their name value raised a ton, and the demand to see them vs Lebedev will be greater than it would be in the tournament itself. If Lebedev can go absolute bum hunting until the end of the tournament, in order to make himself still look formidable, and then sign to fight the winner, that will be a pretty big fight at cruiserweight, and more money.

However, Lebedev is older now so the fight itself might be a letdown. But, he did do really well against Gassiev, I actually thought he should have won. But now another year and a half or two will have passed. Still, if he wants one more big money fight and a chance to win all four belts, sitting out the tournament and waiting for the winner will put him in a great position.
