Was getting robbed actually a good thing for Pacquiao?

    Think about it.

    He beats horn, no biggie.

Getting robbed actually doesn't hurt his resume, gets him public support again.

Him getting robbed puts him back in the public discussion more than whooping horn tbh.

And let's be honest, his name has been going down lately with the mayweather boring loss, lackluster fights, the gay comments, his politics, etc.

Now he gets more rematch money and probably his title back against an easier opppnent. Ups his pr rating for another bigger payday.

It could be used to get Pac paid in a controversy rematch.

It frees up the WBO belt. Pacquiao wasn't fighting Spence/Thurman in a million years. I can see Horn fighting them, though.

I wouldn't say robbed, because Horn really did win he roughed Manny up

What I noticed though is Pacquiao has become loved again, on Twitter and social media people from all over the world every race, was telling Manny we love you Manny, Manny you are the right winner, Manny you are a warrior, etc

Even celebs were supporting Manny again. If they do have a rematch it will be huge probably the biggest boxing fight on network TV in years if they put it on ABC.

The only hate I see for Manny are the typical black guys on youtube making fun of him losing, one guy even said told yall Pac was never good, calling him a bum and trying to gain money off his name, dont support hose guys on youtube dont click their hads they getting paid a couple hundred when a hot fight or search happens they claim Manny is a bum with no fans and yet use his name to gain traffic by bashing him. They hate on Pac, GGG, Loma and Canelo

Anytime I see one of them I don't watch their videos.

Didn't think of it that way

Yeah I guess there has been an upside to it that knocking out an unknown fighter wouldn't bring him

It is actually the best thing that could have happened. Instead of winning and having the world talk about him and Crawford, the talks will be about him and Horn 2. Then Arum, being Arum will milk it for a trilogy in the Philippines, and that closes out Mannys career.
Ends his career against a soft guy for a lot of money.

A loss can be beneficial sometimes remember when Muhammad Ali lost to Leon Spinks (6-0)? Ali became a 3-time lineal heavyweight champion (a boxing record) when he won their rematch. Pac will probably get his belt back and become a 4-time welterweight champion! (a boxing record again.)
