Dumb but serious question. When Mayweather beats McGregor

As an active boxer does he jump back into the top P4P rankings? I know it sounds dumb but then again I watched something dumber in Brisbane, AU.

Nope, they won't include him in rankings for beating McGregor

If he beat a top welterweight then yes, they would add him in the top 10

He will have been out of the ring for 2 years and coming back against a fighter who is 0-0

I doubt they will add him back in. Not sure doe.

I don't think so. I think the fight should be treated as an exhibition and Floyd shouldn't be placed in any serious rankings until it's determined if he is going to fight a legitimate opponent after.

I think he'll just immediately retire in the ring afterwards. Even if he doesn't, Mayweather isn't liked enough by the boxing media to be added back to any rankings. And realistically, he shouldn't be anyway.

Some can't live without Mayweather and Pacquiao, me personally GLAD their ERA is OVER! As for Mayweather being ranked again? NO it is not need for that!

Who's P4P are you talking about?

                  BoxRec? Probably.

                  P.S.
That is if Mayweather beats McGregor

Unless he fights the canelo/ggg winner or Spence (Thurman is out) I don't see the need to fight again.
