They think Dirrell is a püssy and have good reason to think that, the guy is attempting to renege on a contract To have the fight in his hometown, also refusing to enter into the tournament when clearly Smith wants to.

Dirrell appears to want everything on his terms or more importantly is just doing as his manager tells him which is basically attempting to keep that belt in house as he knows Dirrell isn't going to beat Smith in L.A. and needs every advantage he can get.
