Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Admits That He Will "Think Hard" About Retirement

Eight-time world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has said he will "think hard" about retiring after his stunning and controversial defeat to unheralded Australian challenger Jeff Horn. Arriving home in the Philippines a day after losing his World Boxing Organization welterweight title in a major upset in Brisbane on Sunday, the 38-year-old Pacquiao said he was thinking about hanging up his gloves for good.

Do whatever you please champ! 8x divisional champion is what we'll always remember you for!

Btw Horn is no joke! Horn beat Manny worse than Floyd. It's amazing how good he is.

he looked fucking awful and he only shined in 1 round against the Hornet

When you struggle against opposition you were making fun of, that's the time to hang em up.

This is the equivalent of Robert Guerrero losing to that taxicab driver.

I think Pacquiao should fight Errol Spence in the Phillapines, have another thriller in manilla that fight would kill PPV, plus it would be a better guage of were Pacquioa is at, i mean he did pretty much ffok horn up in the 9th and on top of all that Errol is not a dirty fighter. He can't just walk away and leave it on a fight he was robbed.

Why does he have to fight Spence?
The standards for PAC are higher than the 2 nd best of the era I guess?

I was rewatching the fight since 1st time I was inebriated & a few things jump out:Horn looked like he was on peds,(no testing 4 this fight),old pacquiao would've ko'd him in 3 rds, pacs reflexes are shot he needs to retire since it took him way too long to kick on & shots are hurting him way more now,its rediculous they picked goerge burns as the referee of biggest fight in AUS history,Horn would get destroyed by garcia/thurman/spence & even 140 lb champs too. This year has been full of bs that gives Boxing a

"Thinking" about retirement virtually never ends with a retirement so whatever about this story. That said Manny shoulda retired post-Floyd or at least post-Bradley so him retiring after any performance at this point would notch itself as a good decision in my eyes.
