Steven A. Smith really knows nothing about boxing & the way he talk about Horn before the fight was completely classless. He gives McGregor more respect as a boxer than he gave Horn & Conner is 10x worst. Horn has only had 17 pro fights & was able to give Manny a stiff test whether you think he won or lost! There are other fighters(Wilder) with way more pro fights with similar resumes. The majority thought Horn would be KO'd before the 5th round.

Or more likely he's just hoping to build him up for Crawford to KO him in a year & make Crawford more mainstream off of beating the guy who beat the HOFer. What's crazy (and make the whole thing suspect) is how the retirement talk has started already! Manny clearly won that fight, and is the clear favorite to win the rematch! Why are they (Roach and Arum) trying to "put him out to pasture?"

Bob has been trying to get a white boxer to make a name in boxing ever since he noticed the popularity of white ufc fighters. He tried to make yuri foreman a star off cotto when he thought cotto was done after pac and that backfired. He went all in to sign Conlan after the Olympics. Now he saw this opportunity to capatelize with horn and made sure that all horn had to do was be competitive and he'd get him the decision which then made him a name overnight.
