He's not one to use elbows or excessive clinching like a lot of fighters who actually incorporate illegal tactics into their style. He roughs guys up the right way (by landing a culmination of clean punches).
Say what you will about Manny, but he fights very clean

Sometimes to clean. There are circumstances where he needs to make a stand and the Horn fight was a prime example. -

His style of fighting is clean. It's actually cleaner than even Floyd or Ward who both use strategic clinching and can even be seen using elbows.
Roy Jones is another clean style fighter (much cleaner than Floyd or Ward).Comment

Floud and Ward fight old school. The stuff you call dirty has been par for the course for decades by the elite men in the sport. They do it because those not good as them use these tactics to defeat them. If your opponents fight rough you have to be rough as well.Comment

Except when he stepped on pacquiaos foot, marquez is also a really clean fighter. He never clinches and just returns fire with more fire.Comment

You don't see Roy Jones don't doing that stuff and he's a level above both Ward and Floyd.Comment

I ran into a casual in the gas station today and I asked him if he caught the Manny fight on ESPN. He told me he quit watching Manny after he was exposed for PEDs.
I just thought that was funny. The man probably couldn't tell me who Keith Thurman is though. Hence a casual.Comment
