You have no idea how many times I have asked this question on social media and to this day I have never received a direct answer to it...

On top of that, the fight that went down which made Golovkin the mandatory was against a guy that came in overweight for the fight

the WBC do not recognize other champions

that is why they ignored Wladimir Klitschko for a decade

and yet, they not only ranked Golovkin, they mandated him

..... not only did they rank Golovkin..... and not only did they mandate him..... they then squeezed Canelo by giving him a ridiculous deadline, and ignored the fact that Team Golovkin were obviously trying to force a purse bid

the only question is.... who paid them.....

Good point! And who would sign for a MAJOR fight when your JUST starting to go to trial??? Canelo and GB didn't even know if they were STILL his promoters. They were NOT only trying to get past $$$$ but FUTURE $$$ and STILL said they should own Canelo. It's like signing to be a co-owner of a house or car KNOWING the person might be filling for bankruptcy.

Somebody must have gave Sulaiman some dough to force Canelo's hand at that point when Canelo held all the proverbial cards as to how the Canelo-GGG fight would be arranged...timing and everything

Then the WBC stepped in and messed that up
