As a fan of the sport, I would be happy for Wilder to not fight Whyte and instead pick a better opponent, for less money. But that's my selfish view. If Wilder finds somebody worse than Whyte to fight next, then it's simply not reasonable to defend him anymore.

Hearn is taking all the risk here, paying Wilder 4.5m to KO his guy, just so that Wilder can market himself to the UK fans, building up to a big AJ fight.

Klitschko is a bigger fight for Joshua, Parkrr is just as big a fight as Wilder if not bigger, he's been appearing on Sky Sports when he was to be mandated to Joshua then again to the UK when he fought for the vacant belt, and now he's being none stopped mentioned by Hearn for Bellew and Whyte as well as Warren hyping up the Hughie Acne fight.

All boxing fans wanna see Wilder and Joshua, only no one in the UK knows who Wilder is, hell Joshua is better known after his Klitschko fight now.

Hearn is attempting building the fight by throwing Wilder in with Whyte who just had a fight of the year candidate against Chisora, the Brits loved that fight and caked it a fight for the ages.

Only issue is Wilder appears to lack confidence for a career high payday ! No reasonable explanation for his reluctance other than.

ESPN reports Martin got 8.5 million dollars.. other rumours were he got 5 million and that's why Wilder wants 7. But there is an interview with Hearn in the US where the reporter asked him if Martin got 5 million and Heard replied “I wish it was only 5 million” plus he said AJ was happy to earn half what Martin earned even though AJ is the big star.. and that show barley broke even. After Wilder heard Martin got 8.5mil he said he wants 10million on the boxing voice radio show!!

Eddie Hearn basically bought the belt and made no money that whole card. But since AJ became a champ they have had huge shows and made their money back. They will struggle to make a profit against Whyte vs Wilder if they are paying Wilder so much.. but it will lead to the mega even AJ vs Wilder so they’ll make their money back and then some.

I have seen in iFLtv interviews Hearn clowning Martin for his youtube rants saying "he would have spent all of his 5 or so mil" but Martin made over 5mil $ for sure & I'm more sure he has spent most if not all of it ..
