Let's be honest with ourselves here doe. Manny was never gonna fight either one of those fighters with the exception of maybe an undisputed Crawford (later this year) because it's makes business sense FOR Arum/Top Rank. (In-house = easy negotiations)

A rematch is now Pacquiao's best option. (Besides retirement) Everything else is pushed to the side opponent wise.

When I learned there was no drug testing for this fight I thought for sure PAC would KO him. Manny looked terrible and old. He got rocked by a school teacher. He needs to quit while he still has some quality of life. Guy has taken a lot of punishment.

Was he really that bad with his money that he can't quit? He made $100 Million for a single fight two years ago and. Ienhes so broke he has to fight school teachers? Really?

Really? He got lit up and punished over and over by a school teacher. A guy he would have brutally KOed just a couple years ago. The punishment he took was reason to retire. He got rocked maybe a dozen times by a guy who isn't a top 10 Welter. Pacquaio fights a real boxer with power and he is going out on a stretcher.

Lit up? c'mon. Horn was rough and effectively so, but he didn't land that many clean blows, certainly didn't stun Manny 12 times, I recall one right hand that apparently "stunned" Manny, but I didn't actually see his knees buckle. It could've been worse but Manny was in shape for this fight and that probably saved him from being legitimately stunned from some of those shots. I know Manny maybe would've "brutally KOed" him years ago, maybe, but that's not the point, he still has a lot of his attributes; fast, reactive, not as aggressive but a lot of that is just being 38 and facing a guy much bigger and unrelenting.

So to the point, I'm fairly certain at 140 Manny doesn't have these problems. Those boys at 140 are not that big, not that long, and there won't be guys that awkward either (except Crawford, who's both big and skilled). But you are right in saying he took more punishment than he really should have. Retirement is inevitable, so that's not an argument I can win with Manny at 38 right now, eventually he's going to call it a day, I just think he can hang for another year (maybe more) at 140.
