The guy is Buster Douglas minus the 40lb weight gain in between fights. He's a top 20ish, top 30ish guy who got amped for this fight & performed beyond his normal capabilities I'd even argue based upon seeing past fights.

And Horn isn't beating either of those guys with his primitive skills. Guy is too basic. Works hard, has an awkward style & gots a will to win, but he's basic as f#ck & his defense is beyond exploitable by a high level in their prime type fighter.

Personally, he slots into the top 3 slot behind Thurman and Spence.
I honestly don't think anyone at welter beats Horn so easily.
And I'm not so confident a guy with such a bs defense isn't gonna be an easy, if messy or awkward for a round or two W for top ten guys & hell some guys outta the top ten.
He is a gutsy guy doe regardless of his limited boxing talent & I think his corner probably is adept at coming up with pre-fight & in-fight strategies to win based upon him coming up from the floor twice to KO his opponent plus intelligence of his high energy, overly aggressive to the point of wildness approach with Manny. So who knows, but I'd not have any faith in him not being KO'd in 2 or 3 rounds by a Thurman, Spence or Brook type guy or completely whitewashed or stopped late by a Porter or Garcia over the distance.
Eh, hopefully we'll find out what he does vs other top guys besides Manny.

And those two things are why we all should know Horn isn't realllllllly the number 1 guy while understanding why he is number 1 on Boxrec.

All of this will sort itself out if the champs at 147 actually fight each other. Simplest way to get things sorted.

I'm just saying he's not reallllllly the number 1 guy at 147. I think Thurman is that guy now (for me anyway if forced to make a call) or you can argue the winner of Thurman vs Spence is that guy if you see it up for grabs.
And idk that we see Horn fighting any non-TR fighter for a long time if ever. I suspect we got the Manny rematch, Bradley &/or Crawford in the mix first & foremost. If he loses to Bradley or Crawford as I suspect he will then he'll get thrown in with Vargas or maybe Frankie Gomez if he starts fighting again or some other TR 147 guy. So basically its not getting worked out any time soon whatever happens. I think the earliest we see anything go down between TR & PBC top 147lbers is about this time next year after Horn has gotten beat more than likely & Spence vs Thurman have fought & Manny is finally retired.
