Top rank has been investigated by the fbi before for fixing fights! They fired a guy named sean gibbons for fixing fights before! Guess what last night that same guy sean gibbons was in mannys corner! I wonder why??? I wonder why no one mentions top prank and rob arums history of being investigated by the feds for fixing fights......

If we are going to place the blame on Top Rank, you should start with the ******ity of agreeing to fight in Horn's home with unknown judges, thinking a fair decision would occur.

FBI agents armed with a search warrant raided boxing promoter Bob Arum's Top Rank office in Las Vegas on Tuesday, leaving with computers, medical records, fight tapes, boxer contracts and financial documents as part of an ongoing probe of the sport.

Although a report in the New York Daily News claimed a 20-month investigation has uncovered evidence last September's Shane Mosley-Oscar De La Hoya super-welterweight title fight was fixed, none of the key figures in that match have been questioned.

Gary Shaw, Mosley's promoter, said neither he nor Mosley has been approached by investigators. The same is true of De La Hoya as well as Marc Ratner, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Arum, vacationing in South Africa, was unavailable for comment...

"You have what is supposedly a 20-month probe of boxing, and Marc Ratner, the dean of boxing commissioners, is not spoken to? I have no idea what's going on.

"But I guarantee you this: Shane Mosley would never throw a fight and Oscar De La Hoya wanted to win that fight more than anything. Oscar is Arum's golden egg. Why would Arum do anything to kill that?"

After Mosley won a close but unanimous decision, it was Arum and De La Hoya who hinted at corruption, but later retracted their claims.

"Neither the basis nor the purpose of the FBI request is known," Lee Samuels, a Top Rank spokesman, said in a statement. "We are fully cooperating with any requests made of us by the FBI and its agents in order to facilitate their job."

Samuels refused to elaborate on advice of Top Rank attorneys.

There are also allegations other Top Rank fighters were involved in fixes, that scales were tampered with before weigh-ins and that medical documents were forged.

Some of those violations may have taken place in Puerto Rico, according to one source.

The FBI has returned the computers to the Top Rank office but has retained the other items seized.

i'll tell you why! There's so much hate for mayweather, that it has blinded the fans and the media to the practices of bob arum! "we need an outdoor stadium," "manny is afraid of needles," "manny has cuts that aren't healed," etc.! Who said those things? Not manny! Remember when manny had thought he signed contracts to fight floyd, but koncz was forced to admit that it wasn't true, after floyd went to manny's hotel room in miami? Why didn't anyone report about what manny had actually signed, and who had him sign it? This right here, is typical top rank bs:

Nobody knew about pacquiao's pre-fight injury, but in revealing it to the gathered media afterward, team pacquiao did its best cool hand luke imitation. it had a failure to communicate — with each other.

roach said he was surprised when one of the first questions in the post-match news conference was about the injury. he had been told on the way out, by top rank's head man, bob arum, to say nothing. but apparently it was arum, angry that the nevada athletic commission had not allowed pacquiao to be given a doctor-approved and legal painkiller injection just before the fight, who clued in a couple of reporters just before the conference.

pacquiao apparently had no marching orders, so as soon as the question came up, he told the truth about the injury and the technicality that disallowed his pain-killing shot.

pacquiao's adviser, michael koncz, who had filled out the form for the commission that would have allowed the injection had koncz checked "yes" in a box that asked about any injuries, was also, according to roach, recommending that mum be the word on the injury.

but once arum told the two reporters, and once pacquiao publicly told all, there was no turning back. now, mayweather could — and did — spout off about pacquiao being a guy looking for excuses.

Soon, a member of the nevada commission was taking the microphone to refute any wrongdoing or unfairness on their part, arum was spouting back, and the public saw a sport, disintegrating before its eyes. it probably had expected this all along. But the magnitude of this fight seemed to allow some denial. boxing wouldn't let its usual mess happen at mayweather-pacquiao, would it?

Gibbons labeled those charges "a complete lie."

FBI agents raided Arum's Las Vegas office last week, seizing computers, medical records, fight tapes, contracts and other financial documents.

Employees at Top Rank are operating under the assumption their offices are still bugged.

Among the items removed from Arum's office in the raid was a file on the Oscar De La Hoya-Shane Mosley super-welterweight title fight, held in September at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. A law-enforcement source said late last week that Top Rank, not the De La Hoya-Mosley fight, was the focus of the investigation.

The FBI has not interviewed any of the key figures in that fight, and it has not spoken with members of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Investigators are looking into allegations of fixed fights, tampering with weight scales and the forging of medical documents by Top Rank officials or individuals associated with that organization.
