Hopkins works for GBP. If he worked for GGG's side, he would have the opposite opinion. It's kind of like asking the trainer or manager of a fighter who is going to win....they will always say their guy, duh.

You have to take Hopkins word for what it is especially since he has a vested interesting in backing Canelo. I don't see Canelo stalking Golovin. If anything it would be the other way around. I don't know who is faster but if Canelo has a speed advantage it might help him with his flat footedness. Canelo's speed and footwork was exposed when he was unable to catch Mayweather. He has to try to out quick Golovkin. I can't wait to see how this plays out.

everything hopkins said is true until canelo gets smacked upside his head with lil G'z power. then canelo better have a plan b,c,d, foul to get disqualified or quit.

That was a lot of hot air.

First he says Canelo will win because he stalks and punches guys. So he's a harder puncher than Golovkin? He stalks better? Demonstrably not true.

Then he says Canelo has had to make adjustments and maybe Golovkin can't. Oh except that he admits Golovkin made adjustments versus Danny Jacobs. And anyone who's not blind could see he he fought Lemieux differently than past boxers.

Definitely falls into Hopkins hyping his fighter and the fight rather than actual analysis. Which is fine, he is a promoter.

My problem with biased haters is that if the opponent is a bum that got 'exposed', does that not take away from your fighter?? For example (lets say im a ward fan), ward beat the best fightet available... what a ****ing legend kovalev is but OMFG ward was able to take his **** and work it against him, my god kovalev is such a feared puncher but ward was capable of learning from fight 1 and adapting... 2 of the best dueling it out, i still prefer kovalev after this......

Canelo has made a metric ton of adjustments. His upper body defense is slick and he has good hands. But to say GGG is just a puncher is just ignorant, but Bernard is just acting like any promoter.

                    @ Bernard Hopkins:

Great job Champ, great assessment, and your doing a magnificent job promoting this Mega Event, and a special thanks for finally getting GGG to sign the contract to fight CANELO , cause lord knows the ol' Khazak gold spoon fed Diva tried every trick in the book to avoid fighting CANELO.

A year ago , I used to think CANELO would beat Golovkin from 154-160 pounds , but now things have changed for me, now I believe CANELO can beat Golovkin anywhere from 154-164.5 pounds.

CANELO will put on a Master-Class of boxing come September 16, 2017 , similar to the performances CANELO put on against HOF boxer Miguel Cotto & James Kirkland where CANELO completely shut down both offensive powerhouses , limiting them to land only 21% of their total punches.

What adjustments has Canelo ever made in a fight? He had no plan B,C or D for Mayweather or Lara. He has never made adjustments in a fight and hasn't had to recently because of the weak opposition he's faced. Lets be honest, Canelo has never looked great against top opposition like Floyd, Lara, Trout and Cotto. It's easy to look great against the weakest 154 champ, a WW and a drained Chavez. Throw in old and inactive fighters he's faced and he looks like a beast.
