LUCKY PUNCH ? what ???
No punch is ever lucky and Corley did not dominate that whole fight. That fight was closer than that while it lasted dude.Comment

well if you think that Cotto dominated then thats your opinion, but the way I saw it was closer than that.Comment

Don't get me wrong, I don't think a Castillo or Hatton fight are easy for Cotto, but he'd have a much better chance against them than against Chico, IMHO. Corrales is too tall and has too much power for Cotto right now. Even though Corrales likes to fight on the inside where Cotto might be able to hammer the body, I still think Chico would win that fight.
I do think Cotto would beat Hatton and would be a very live dog against Castillo, tho. Hatton is over rated, IMHO, and Collazo showed Ricky has a weakness against someone who shows angles and has a good jab (someone like PBF would eat him up) and Cotto has a very good jab and is an under rated boxer.
BTW, Castillo or Corrales eat Hatton up for dinner at 140.Comment

Originally posted by IwatchBoxingSo, your point is? Where was Chavez/Whitaker? And Chavez/Laporte was in NY. If Cotto losses to either Castillo or Corrales he sucks and is overrated. Not because they are good, but they suck.
My point was this whole ****** debate started when I said Cotto is NOT the elite fighter everyone is making him out to be. He is good but he is not "great". IF he steps in up in class he will get his ass handed to him. Put him in with a Tszyu or Judah and he will lose. The whole Corley/COtto thing was just an analogy Macho brought up for a Judah/Cotto comparison. But as far as the Corley fight went... I though it was closer than that. Cotto looked to be in a tougher fight than the score cards indicate. Cotto survived after getting buzzed but any other elite fighter could have finished him off.Comment
