The Mayweather/Floyd/GGG Paradox - Which Win Rules

Try and help me out here. We have read stuff like:

"If Alvarez beats GGG, It Only Makes Mayweather Look Even Better."

""But that was a 152... and Alvarez shouldn't have boxed, should've done a Maidana..." etc...

    Whatever the reasons or excuses.

Then you have to realize Floyd isn't fighting Golovkin at 160. So far the only star to verbally want GGG for a duration prep has been Alvarez. Lara been calling out GGG as well, for a while, but we never got enough social media pressure or industry reports for those two.

Given all the circumstances, does Alvarez's win benefit Nelo alone, or does it benefit Floyd as well?

In 20 years when everyone is retired, the more wins on canelo's resume, the better he looks on mayweathers resume. It will only help mayweather. All the idiots saying mayweather cherry picked and ducked good fighters will be gone and hes legit top 10 all time, he will get his due.

      It benefits Floyd.

Floyd is a terrible fight predictor.... if nothing else, if Canelo beats GGG then it means Floyd finally picked a fight outcome right for a change.

If we are looking at it seriously...of course it helps Floyd....he can say that he is still the only person with the skills to deal with and beat Canelo and that it proves GGG would have been "easy work" for him.

Floyd weight drained Canelo and fought a zombie version so you can diminish the win.....but......imo you cannot diminish the performance and Floyd put on a fantastic performance against the larger Canelo. A truly great performance which showed the gap in skill between himself and the skillful and determined young Lion.

The old lion roared that night and if Canelo dethrones GGG he will roar once more!
