i have cable too, but i don't get bounce. my chick gets bounce, so i usually watch the bounce PBC shows at her place. she's out of town this weekend, so i spent the $15 on an antenna so i can watch at home.

Bounce comes with the MTV VH1 package lol..

there's nothing you have to put up. it's a digital antenna. you just plug it right into your TV.

i have a very basic cable package that is provided at no cost by condo association. i get MTV and VH1, but i don't get bounce. no biggie, just get bounce for free over the air with a small antenna sitting next to my TV.

a lot of cable companies don't want to pay a retransmission fee for bounce.

in my market, bounce is channel 43.3 over the air. channel 43 is the spanish station unimas and bounce is one of their digital substations.

if you're not familiar with digital substations, basically when the government switched our country from standard def to high def, the new high def spectrum had space for more channels. so if you have an antenna, channel 6 actually offers 4 channels (6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4), channel 10 offers 4 channels (10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4) etc etc.

so there are all sorts of channels you can get totally for free over the air that the average person has never heard of because their cable company doesn't want to pay the money for the right to retransmit the signal.

so most people actually get bounce, they just don't know it because they don't know what a digital substation is and they don't have an antenna.
