Rabbit punches, headlocks and scraping Ward across the face with his glove are fouls. Kovalev did all these throughout the fight. No amount of excuses changes that fact.

I agree, after revisiting the fight many times, I'd say the ref robbed the fans of a real ending. Ward should have a point deducted and the fight should've continued. Ward would've won, probably on KO anyway. The fans lost.

Yeah it is pretty savage, that when we finally get a good fight, someone outside of the fighters will make sure that we are left with a bitter taste.

Firstly, Weeks' supposed Twitter comments were fake.
As for low blows, it's up to the ref to determine where the "belt line" (an imaginary line from navel to the top of the hip bone) is and enforce the rule. It varies because of how the groin protector is warn.
Most comments here just show most people have never warn a protector and don't know what they're talking about.
My take is Weeks didn't want to be a factor in the fight, so he let a lot of fouls go. Of course a fight can't end on a foul and replays show clearly to anybody without bias, that the punch was a foul.

A lot of different **** combined. The way he handled his loss, started making all kind of excuses and complaining.
Second, this one is hard to explain to a foreigner, he says he grew up in certain environment but he condraticts the code he supposed to follow, like when he says some **** he can't back up before the fight, I mean he promised to KO Ward right? Don't say some **** you can't be responsible for
Third, his attitude towards fans on Russian social networks, he starts talking all kinds of disrespectful **** for even slight criticism even if it's not offensive. Some russian fan asked him why he was talking to Ward like that, he basically called her ***** and said he was trying to promote the fight for US because "russian fans won't buy ppv anyway, you won't do nothing to support me". He's hot headed and undisciplined, these qualities I can't respect too, the way he talks about JDJ saying he's just holding mitts. Man, even if you think JDJ is doing nothing for you, you can't disrespect him in public like that that **** needs to stay in the gym, just fire him if you think he's not doing his job. When he was fighting Chilemba he was trying to carry all the weight, even ticket sales, he doesn't trust people around him. Yes, he got a lot of haters in Russia, he even said it himself in one of his interviews. You see, a lot of reasons out here

It's good to hear your point of view but you don't have to be Russian to know Kovalev is an a$$. You can say a lot of things to sell afight without sinking to the level he did. I wish of more of his fans would call him out on his BS. Dispute his lack of discipline he's a good fighter and can bounce back but he needs to stay away from Ward. He also needs to take his craft more seriously.
