Wasn't it Nacho who said the only way to beat Floyd was "with a bat"?

No, the reach advantage won't be a factor against a Floyd Mayweather type of fighter. His ability to control distance is in such a higher dimension if Conor had a 100" reach it still wouldn't help him. Floyd is so good at controlling distance he will nullify McGregor's advances and limit his punch output and scoring opportunities exclusively with his feet.

Why do you think Floyd needs to come into McGregor's space to control distance? Distance control is another way of saying "footwork." Getting in and out, changing directions, removing oneself from harm's way, positioning for an attack.. These are all examples of distance control.

McGregor will be at a gross, massive disadvantage on all accounts. When he's not following Floyd around or missing shots he'll be swallowing Floyd's gloves like he was in a hot dog eating contest.
Forget that its Conor McGregor we're talking about (to try to mitigate the bias).

Reach is not going to affect that?! It's a game of millimeters and fractions of a second, am I right? So if you don't have to "come into range" as far (or at all)... er, "getting in"... of course it's going to affect how effective you are at "removing yourself from harms way"... having to come in that much further, and having to remove yourself that much further. For counter-strikers, especially.

I'll explain this a different way. If I can move my entire body two or three or four times faster than you do you think one or two inches in reach will matter? I don't think you're seeing this very clear.

Have Connor try catch Floyd with some unusual martial art punches.

Floyd outmaneuvers Connor bad with footwork. You need to have the right angle in order to land.

Just re watched the Floyd-Canelo fight. What a master class by Floyd.

Conor better hope Floyd gets injured in their fight. He has no chance against a master like Floyd. He routinely outclasses world class boxers. An MMA guy has no chance If facing a healthy Floyd

Since Connor don't got the ability to jab his way in to close the distance, he should try feinting his way in.

Be unusual. Use some shoulder feints.

Connor's best bet is to try some martial arts based punching and footwork.

Trying to be a boxer anit gon work.

Connor has to be a martial artist not a boxer.

His team believes this too. It's why they digging for techniques in ancient boxing that are uncommon in this era.

Marketing pulls the wool over another one, I guess.

Watch the raw footage and you'll see how bad he looks.
What "raw" footage? The 2 minute clip that's out there is also edited.

But whatever the case, this video shows more of the sparring... and VanHeerden did not "absolutely toy with" Conor. Lets be real, let be fair with that at least.
