Comments Thread For: Horn's Trainer: Brutal KO Loss to Marquez 'Haunts' Pacquiao

Jeff Horn's trainer thinks a ghost from Manny Pacquiao's pugilistic past can help Horn come fight night. Glenn Rushton said during a conference call Tuesday night that Pacquiao isn't the same fighter he was before Juan Manuel Marquez knocked the Filipino icon unconscious in the sixth round of their fourth fight 4 years ago. The 38-year-old Pacquiao is 5-1 since his longtime rival knocked him out and has lost only to undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. during that stretch.

He might not be the same fighter since Marquez but Manny shouldn't have a problem beating Jeff horn for 12 rounds.

They're talking about how Horn is big and young and powerful. None of that is a reason for why Marquez KOd Pacquiao. Marquez is one of the smartest counter punchers of his generation and it took him 4 fights to time Pacquiao with that shot. I wish Horn all the best but he's gonna need some luck

Horn couldn't beat Rios, Clottey, Algieri, or even old man Mosely. Margarito would destroy him. Cotto, Bradley, Vargas, all would beat him. Yet we're supposed to believe Horn is in the same category as Marquez.

Horn need to stop bringing up Marquez's name as if he could do half of he was able to do against Pacquiao.
