Going to the ropes and being trapped at the ropes aren't the same thing. What happened to Kirkland when he called Alvarez to the ropes in the 1st round? If Alvarez calls Gennady to the ropes is what we would love to see. Gennady "trapping" or closing the ring on Alvarez is what we want to see. Why didn't Golovkin do it to Lemeiux off the bat? Alvarez has Mexican wrestling experience too. He can juggle midgets too

Well I'm talking about wrestling wearing Golovkin out in reference to the op. I don't see it being a factor. I think, like against Lemieux and to a degree Jacobs, Golovkins jab can bring alot of success against Canelo, more so because he's shorter. And maybe, if he gets tired of the pressure and has he's back to the ropes, the jab may bring real damage too. I've noticed Canelo tires and fades in he's fights and always has. Not meaning Kirkland, just some other fights, he volunteers to go on the ropes but because maybe he's tired. I think Golovkin has true power to the body as the proved against Mackkin when you try to cover on the ropes. And the jab does damage there too.

First and foremost, we haven't seen Alvarez's WRATH like his Mexican greats before him. This is the one fight in which he will leap into Greatness like the Mexican warriors before him and complete his body battle tested as one of the greatest Mexican Middleweights. This will however put a toll on Alvarez's body but prepare him for 168.

1.) The firepower that Alvarez will implement on a Gennady's guard will rattle the Kazakh out of position. When these moments happen, GGG will come back with his own fire power... As they exchange and both get tagged, expect the clinching to set the tone of their strength, this is where their true power will translate. They will tug it out during the clinch that will tire both.

This is what Gennady should not do in this fight. People think hat Gennady will control distance with his jab, but when Alvarez tags him around that conservative style will fade.
