Comments Thread For: Marco Huck is Pumped To Join World Boxing Super Series

The World Boxing Super Series is delighted to confirm the next star participant for the cruiserweight competition. Former WBO World Champion Marco Huck (40-4-1, 27 KOs) has joined a star-studded tournament line-up that already features the undefeated and reigning world champions Murat Gassiev (IBF), Yunier Dorticos (WBA) and Mairis Briedis (WBC) as well as former world champion Krysztof Wlodarczyk. Starting in September, eight of the worlds best cruiserweights will battle it out in a revolutionary bracket-style elimination tournament for The Greatest Prize in Boxing, the Muhammad Ali Trophy.

Glowacki signed the deal yesterday aswell. Usyk and Kudryashov are close to sign this week. So all participants of this tournament are Top 10 Cruiserweights. 4 current World Champs, 3 former World Champs. 2017/2018 are the best years in the history of the Cruiserweight division.

So I'm guessing top 4 are Gassiev, Usyk, Briedis and Dorticos. Bottom 4 will be Huck, Wlodarczyk, Glowacki and Kudryashov. That's such a loaded group. You definitely wanna be with 1 of the first 2 picks, cuz you don't wanna get stuck with glowacki or kudryashov in the 1st rd.

No one is scared of Kudryashov. Wlodarczyk, Huck, and Glowacki are seasoned, experienced veterans with championship pedigree.

Yes I guess the World Champs will be seeded and they will pick either Huck,Wlodarczyk,Glowacki or Kudryashov. But still all 14 fights will be great. Very very exciting fights. Especially when only Top 10 fighters facing each other. It can't get better than this.

Wlodarczyk and Huck are pretty much done. I think Usyk will pick one of them and easily beat him.

Turning out to be a top competition for the Cruiserweights, i hope they all stay fit. Not much noise coming out about 168 though, pretty sure Groves is the only one confirmed.

Who would everyone like to see in the SMW leg?

Usyk can achieve his goal already in 11 months by becoming Undisputed Cruiserweight World Champ and then moving up to Heavyweight as his team planned.

This **** is what it should be all about. Major props to Slick-Back Ricky and the Gurner... I forgive them both for being a bit fuckin weird.

The Cruiserweight competiton is shaping up to be the absolute best it could be - let's just hope there's confirmation from Usyk and Kudryashov. I'm just hoping we get the same level of response from the SMWs.
