  • Comments Thread For: Broner Wishes He Had Always Trained as Hard as Mayweather

NEW YORK One of the things Adrien Broner admires most about Floyd Mayweather Jr. is Mayweather's work ethic. No matter who Mayweather fights, the undefeated five-division champion takes training seriously. That consistent commitment to preparing properly is one of the traits that has enabled Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) to become the most successful fighter of this generation.

This is nonsense because he said this after Maidana and said "he will never be in a hard fight again now I'm focused"

For Shawn Porter he moved to Las Vegas and trained at Mayweather's gym with Floyd. Said he was as focused as he's ever been. Lost and now he's saying he didn't train hard enough. Bull****.

      He's in denial.

Mikey is a true professional. He's going to give Broner that work.

It's actually not bull****. He was not very focused for the Porter fight. There was an episode of all access where Broner and Floyd got into an argument in the gym because Floyd was telling Broner to go rest up before his fight and Broner didn't listen and stayed around to watch Davis and Haney sparring. That was just one example where Broner was ****ing around. I'm sure there were many more. They were even arguing at the weigh in.

You're right that his words can't be taken too seriously but I don't think he's ever truly been disciplined before a fight.

So do I Broner. You might have had a HOF career if you were more dedicated and professional.

Unfortunately you have to take his words with a grain of salt. He has the talent to win this fight but he's going in there with a guy that has shown excellence in the ring. No free lunch here.

Broner has shown excellence in the ring before himself.

                    More than Garcia.

Garica and his team are assuming Broner won't bring his A game.

                    That's a **** strategy.
