  • Why no public backlash of GGG saying Canelo might be his last fight?

When Mayweather mentioned retirement in 07 and after, he got destroyed by the public.

When Ward mentioned retirement after the first Kovalev fight, he got destroyed for not wanting to rematch him.

GGG says anyone from 154-168 and then proceeds to get his ass kicked by Jacobs, won't rematch him and now says Canelo may be his last fight and now all we hear are crickets.

First off Jacobs lost by several points but you such a GGG hater you are trying to rewrite what happened in the ring. Look at the punch stats. GGG out threw and out landed Jacobs in most of the rounds. He was the one going forward, landing the harder punches and knocking Jacobs on his ass. That isn't Jacobs kicking his ass, That's GGG going to Jacobs's back yard and kicking Jacobs ass. You seriously expect GGG to give up the the chance to fight Canelo to rematch Jacobs who he just beat by UD????? You are nuts. Any pro fighter has the right to retire when ever they ***ing please and it's tough **** if some fans don't like. If Ward or Mayweather or GGG want to retire at any time for any reason that is their choice and nobody else has a damn thing to say about it. GGG said he might retire, he never said he would retire. If he did retire so the fuc what. He is 35 and he has been fighting since he was a kid. He earned the right to retire if he wants to. But you can't wait for him to officially retire. You have to start a thread 3 months before the fight to attack him. You have way too much hate for a great champion who has done nothing wrong and is a credit to the sport.

well ward was talking retirement as a way to not do the rematch with kovalev

mayweather talked retirement which many percieved as a way to duck margarito

after canelo ggg would have fought everyone so who cares if he retires.

Are you sure Jacobs want a rematch? Didn't you see him heaved a big sigh of relief when the bell rang in the last round? Are you sure he wants to go through that terrifying ordeal again of facing GGG?

Anybody have a gif of that scene?

I didn't even know he said that. Nobody cares enough to give any backlash. It's like, ok you're 35 and haven't really done anything, you wanna leave after your loss to Canelo, okay good luck in your retirement.

No publicity is bad publicity. It means that no one gives a **** lol.
