dude has a law degree and various business interests. His family is well connected in kazakhstan - like government level well connected. Dude's got it made basically. **** sucks about his eye, but unlike many fighters he was never dependent on boxing for his income. Never really liked him as a fighter, but respect and good luck to the guy.
thanks for the article its a great read! He never had a good manager or promoter and his style wasnt the most crowd pleasing! But he seems like a cool cat...

It was a smart move I wish him a lot of success and luck in life and was very happy when he made that phony Flores look like a fool...

Seems like his constant training really injured him, guess you shouldn't spar so much when there's no fight set

The guy just genuinely loved to fight, be it in a boxing ring or in a bar.

He got into a bar fight?

I heard he worked his own corner before. Is that true?

I`ve heard few times that he just loves to fight. And I vaguely remember a story of him involved in a fight at a night club in Kazakhstan. That was some time after Hopkins fight, if I remember correctly. Can`t find any links or details to that, though.

I guess that makes sense. At the point where you box for a living, what's the difference if you get into a fight at a bar? I mean you've boxed on TV before in front of thousands of people. At that point a bar fights like whatever. He probably didn't even care.
