Weeks said belt line is legal, it was borderline but not a low blow, no way he hit his nuts. Kovalev bending over and his trunks being baggy gave the illusion it was low, it wasn't.Comment

Borderline does not mean a foul.
Ward stopped fighting because Kov tricked him, the replay clearly shows belt line punches during that sequence.Comment

Of course, he has a massive ego, he didn't even admit he was hurt by the right hand.
We've heard nothing but excuses from Kov even before the fight, you can't trust what a guy like that says.
His team won't stand up for him, JDJ said he should move on from Ward, his other trainer (cut man I believe) didn't stand up for him, even ggg one of his best friends isn't supporting him.Comment

I think the biggest point is that folks have been throwing out these "clear" low blow statements and that only unbiased fans would think otherwise. How is it so "clear" when the rules don't address such a situation where a portion of the glove lands below the deemed borderline? Lastly I think the point of the air pocket statement is that the impact point if the punch may very well be different from the direct straight line of the air pocket especially given that it was an uppercut as opposed to a straight punch.so you are saying if 1 percent of the pucnh lands clean and the other 99 percent is low its still clean? thats not how it works in the rules. the ref hismelf said anything below here is low and that landed well below where he said. i dont remember him saying well if the hublot air pocket gets crushed without any damage then its legal.
The clarity for which folks have formed these string opinions that they feel should be treated as absolute truth just isn't there.Comment
