Does a prime Anthony Mundine beat a LM Floyd?

Few years back Choc challenged Floyd to a LM fight to see who the better man out of the fm fighting pride of Australia and the self proclaimed GOAT Floyd was.

Horn Pac reminded me of how Floyd ducked him like he did many others.

Choc is a polarising fighter but a quick and relentless puncher with a great chin who reminded me very much of a prime maidana. A natural middleweight, I feel if Choc dropped down to LM and Floyd was willing to fight him then there could have been an upset.

Choc is very well known in Aus and I would rather see a "money fight" between him and Floyd than the farce we have been subjected to when he fights that little MMA girl who rolls around in the grass with boys Conor.

Mundine got flogged by charles hatley...and i mean flogged...i think that answers the question about mundine at light middle. He got stopped at supermiddle by sven ottke...another question answered. He beat daniel geale at middle but not without controversy. He then lost to geale who got stopped early by golovkin. The answer is no.

I thought this forum had given up on the whole man who beat the man logic - after Tyson fury made an idiot of wlad but apparently that doesn't make him better than AJ who went life and death with the same guy?

I have no faith in AJ...i believe a healthy tyson fury belts the life out of him...so logic still prevails.

First Mayweather never ducked him. Mayweather was fighting twice a year and he was the biggest payday in boxing. There were always a bunch of boxers calling him out at any given time. He could only pick and fight one boxer at a time. Mundine was never an obvious choice. There was never a time when many fans were asking for him to fight Mundine. There was always better known and more deserving boxers Mayweather could fight for better money. Mundine was never as good as you are making him out to be in my opinion. He struggled with Geale who both Cotto and GGG crushed like a bug. Mediocre Clottey came to Mundine's back yard and easily beat him. He was never even close to being in Mayweather's class. Mayweather would have easily beaten him just as Mayweather could beat him now in my opinion. Please don't cuss me out and call me names again for having an opinion different than yours.

Was he less deserving than Ortiz, Berto?

He was less deserving than Ortiz because Ortiz was fresh off of winning a world welterweight title in impressive fashion when Floyd fought him. Mundine was far more deserving than Berto was at the time Mayweather fought Berto. Berto was a horrible choice for Mayweather's retirement fight. That still doesn't make Mundine a particularly good choice for Mayweather for a fight at 154. Lara would have been a better choice if Mayweather was going to fight at 154.
