Why Is Ward An Intelligent Fighter When His Strongest Attributes Are Illegal?

It's like Lebron is allowed to punch other players, push them to the floor and have no goal-tending called on him.

So every game, he's going out there fouling his way onto 50 points whilst blocking 10 shots.

would he be a hall of famer?

    Is he intelligent?

    you make no sense.

Andre Ward is a greco roman wrestler first and foremost. he legit uses his double and single leg shots as feints so you don't know if he's gonna jab or he's going to run into you head first.

    Headbutts

    Clinching and hitting

    Single legs

    Double legs

    Elbows

    and now

he can end fights with lowblows.

    can't even make this up

If you believe those are the strongest aspects of his game then you have no idea what you are watching.

With all do respect. Watch more boxing.

His offense is garbage. absolute ****e.

        1 handed. pillow fisted.

he got Kov because of his illegal set-ups. he has Kov watching out for the low-blows and he shoots the right hand upstairs.

if you take away his illegal tactics altogether, his offense would be even worse if that's possible.

I was impressed with the difference in Ward from fight one to two against Kovalev. He was very sharp in the rematch and Kovalev was swinging and missing for much of the fight.

There lies the intelligence. Ward was able to nullify Kovalev's power while landing his own power shots.

he was still losing in the 2nd fight until he started throwing low-blows to drain Kov.

              this is a fact.

he didn't throw low-blows in the first.

It takes a lot of intelligence as a fighter to bend the rules and sometimes break them without getting in much trouble. That require know how and a subtle nature like a pickpocket or a safe cracker.

Plus he is very good at several other aspects of boxing, while not being the most athletically gifted guy, knowing how and when to do things (legal or illegal) is probably the most important aspect of boxing.

                    LMAO no it doesn't.

have your promoter bribe the ref and judges.

It's like someone walking into a judo match with punches and kicks. he wins by knocking his opponent out from a soccerkick.

only the ref doesn't DQ or deduct any points and give you the win.

                    THAT INTELLIGENCE OMG!~

                    you're an idiot.
