Floyd has probably never defended himself against a high level kickboxer or wrestler before, and he isn't near as athletic as he used to be. Boxing is my favourite sport...but anyone who has practiced mma or wrestling can tell you it's relatively easy to negate boxing, especially when they don't threaten anything else. Not saying it wouldn't be dangerous...especially for someone ****** enough to try to trade punches, but any decent wrestler could shoot a single or pick an akle from a low position without leaving their head in a position for big shots to be landed. Mma adapts to single discipline athletes...that's why the high level jiu jitsu or high level wrestlers with nothing else in their arsenals don't dominate anymore.

"[The fight] will not hurt boxing, but it will hurt mixed martial arts because you're talking about a good world champion [in McGregor], and if that guy loses against Mayweather it should be for something [important]," Duran said.
      It won't hurt either sport.

See Jorge Masvidal and Josh Thompson, excellent striking skill and movement, also, it's not easy to negate boxing, boxers are EXCELLENT judges of distance and timing, which is why Bruce Lee incorporated western boxing into jeet kwon do and why the first thing an mms fighter tries to do is get a boxer on the ground.

Oh Oh..I see a kink in the confidence department among die hard Floyd supporters. Looks like excuses are coming. Worrying over a novice is bad for your health considerthis. Have faith in your man even if he is a tiny 150, 40 year old, brittle hands with chicken legs. He still is lightyears more experienced than that novice white belter lol

Exactly what I'm saying...boxres aren't gonna know how to defend takedowns, and they can be done in a relatively safe manner if you don't wanna get hit. It's not that hard to close the distance while avoiding the big ****. Look at couture vs toney...he's a greco roman wrestler, he's probably never shot that low in his life.

I'm not saying mcgregor or any other mma fighter has a shot against any good boxers under boxing rules.

Well if his name would be Conor Ward, he could simply walk up to Floyd, kick him right in the nuts, get a TKO victory, and have Kellerman give him head while praising that magnificent borderline body shot.

The crazy thing is we don't even know how good/bad a boxer Conor is. Those sparring clips don't mean anything since they were edited and sparring is just sparring.

People are going to watch this because they're curious.
