    Just remember guys Rigonducks excuses.....

    To sum up Rigondeaux's duck:
    1. Lomachenko called for the fight on instagram
    2. Rigondeaux agreed and was ok with the split with the winner earning $1m.
    3. Rigondeaux requested Lomachenko at 124lbs, and eventually 126lbs with a rehydration clause. Lomachenko didn't accept as he would be too drained at 124lbs (Loma was 132lbs in the Olympics 2012)
    4. Rigondeaux ACCEPTED the 126lb fight with a rehydration clause of 137lbs.
    5. Just as it was about to be finalised, Rigondeaux pulled out.
    6. Rigondeaux first blamed it on money, then he comes clean and says it's about the weight. He wants Lomachenko at 124lbs KNOWING LOMA CAN'T MAKE THE WEIGHT.
    7. Rigondeaux now states he will be willing to move up to 126lbs to fight a physically bigger guy than Lomachenko in Santa Cruz.

Thraxox's narrative is shook because Rigo can fight any 126 champ to surpass Loma's ranking at #2 P4P

Forget Loma. If Rigo beats any 126 Champ would you rate his P4P status above Loma's? This is what Thraxox is afraid of and only brings up failed negotiations about Loma...

Santa Cruz and Frampton moved to 126 to avoid Rigo. What makes you think they would fight him now?

Rigo already had his career defining fight. I don't think he will ever fight another opponent as good as Donaire.

I think it's more accurate to say neither side wants it enough to make what they both (rightfully) consider disadventageous physical concessions. I believe this fight would happen if these guys were closer in size.

Rigo will be the sensation who never was. So he wants to fight either a smaller, shop worn Chocolotito, or have Loma come down to a catch weight. Someone better get a grip on his worth, because no one is talking Rigo outside of a few dedicated fanboys. He should be fighting Davis next. Should be an easy fight to make since both of them are under Floyd's spell. What's the excuse?

While I would generally agree, that if fights don't happen it's both fighters fault. But not in this situation.

We have too much evidence, articles, interviews, videos, of what took place during their first negotiations back in 2015.

Rigo was the one that made countless demands. Regarding weight and money. He went from 126 to rehydration clause, to CW, to "$500,000" is not enough etc.

Then, once the negotiations fell apart, around early 2016 Rigondeaux comes out and said he's willing to move up to 126 to fight Leo Santa Cruz. So 126 for Lomachenko is not ok, but he was willing to move up to 126 to fight LSC?

It's funny what has happened since then. Lomachenko has gone on to become a two division world champion, developing his resume and Rigo has done nothing besides have 3 meaningless fights with fighters no has ever heard of. So now, Lomachenko is in the power position, and Rigo is begging him for a shot.

Rigo is 5'4", Chocolatito is 5'3"; Guillermo is 36, Gonzalez is 30. I don't see a problem with wanting to fight Chocolatito. Rigo is older and will be draining to make 118, where he hasn't fought in years. But I agree that Gonzalez has lost his luster, while Rigo has not quite yet shown signs of deterioration.

Rigo will follow the Floyd formula of never fight an elite at his best. Gonzalez has been through too many wars and Rigo has fought in naturally bigger weight classes. Gary Russell Jr. would be a much better fight for Rigo at 126 or 130. As would Gervonta Davis. Why isn't anyone talking Davis since they are evenly matched on paper?
