Canelo Alvarez has 0 fights at 160 pounds / middleweight division. Thus, has 0 wins, 0 success, 0 accomplishments and has subsequently displayed 0 skills at that PARTICULAR division.

Since this fight is happening at 160 pounds, we have to go by both of their accomplishments at 160 pounds. As such, GGG's accomplishments are far greater and he should therefore be the favorite to win.

In reality, apart from a slight size advantage and power advantage, there isn't a single department which Canelo Alvarez is better than Kell Brook at that I can see. However, Kell Brook has certain advantages over Canelo Alvarez such as better footwork, better all round elusiveness with a combination of head and foot movements, better activity rate and etc.

Daniel Jacobs will always be the tougher stylistic match up for GGG than Canelo Alvarez in my opinion.

I personally seeing this fight going similar to the Kell Brook vs GGG fight. Canelo Alvarez would probably last a little longer but that's about it.

Ouma lit up Golovkin. Watch that fight and ask yourself what's the difference from Ggg's style then vs now. Ouma was a 154 pounder...former Champion. How many losses or KO's did Ouma have coming in? You could say "well, Mirko we do finally agree that he has problems with Southpaws." That doesn't change the fact that Alvarez is perceived to have way more gun power than Ouma... how old was Ouma during that fight compared to Alvarez now?

These are the things people need to revise. 160 weight accomplishments means nothing.

GGG looks so out of shape for this fight even though there is 3 months to go.

Styles make fights. Canelo won't sit and be hit. He will easily out point GGG

Ouma tried his best against one of the worst versions of GGG who was weak, ill and jet lagged on fight night but still got sent to the hospital (Per rumors) whilst taking a viscous beating prior to getting stopped.

GGG's style may not be different NOW than when he fought Ouma, but his physical conditioning certainly has been consistently different in other fights. Physically, GGG was abnormally and unusually lacking in condition due to being ill and jet lagged. So most likely scenario is, we'll see the best conditioned version of GGG against Canelo Alvarez. He doesn't need to have a different style to beat Canelo Alvarez, he just needs to be in the best physical condition possible (which he likely would be).

Canelo Alvarez isn't a southpaw so I don't see the reason for bringing that up. GGG has troubles against southpaws more than usual (most boxers do), but most southpaws would probably have even more struggle against GGG than he would against them.

160 pounds accomplishments ABSOLUTELY mean something because this fight is happening at that weight division. When a fight is happening in a particular weight division, the more accomplished boxer of that particular division should be the favorite and should be more likely to win than lose.

Was Murray a Southpaw? So you say the Ouma bout was his worst performance by GGG because he was ill?! Didn't he have one for Rosado, looked drained and ill for Brook?

Stop trolling with excuses. Learn that even elites have trouble with elite Southpaws. It isn't a hidden secret within the sport.

Oscar's an idiot, suggesting that Ricky Martin or Marc Anthony could sing the Mexican National Anthem for the September fight. Then the reporter asks Canelo how he felt that Oscar said he'd like for Marc Anthony to sing the Mexican National Anthem... Canelo calls the reporter an idiot for suggesting that a Puerto Rican would sing the Mexican National Anthem... and the reporter probably asked him that question too because Canelo just started dating Marc Anthony's ex-wife, Shannon De Lima.

              LMFAO.

Sounds like maybe Oscar & Canelo aren't THAT cool. Gotta know who your boy is ****ing so you don't invite the old guy who was ****ing her to the party. What the sh^t man. Bad form Oscar. Or maybe Oscar was just high as f#ck when he said that.

Canelo gets stopped via left hook to the body. Bet on it.

They're gonna destroy eachothers bodies. What will matter more is who can take more upstairs. We know GGG's got possibly the best chin in Boxing but Canelo despite not having been hurt in years did get hurt badly for a couple of minutes earlier in his career. I think this will be a great fight, both taking damage but Golovkin will prevail by stoppage.
