He has not completely proven himself, this is because not many fighters want to fight him. I'm not sure why, He is slightly sloppy and has tons of openings. A fighter like PBF can beat him, but Margarito has size, strong chin, strength, and determination on his side. That is what kept fighters like Judah, Spinks, Forrest, and now Mayweather away.
