Comments Thread For: Wilder's Manager Likes Idea of Return on Mayweather-McGregor

Jay Deas, co-manager of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs), likes the idea of having his fighter be part of the upcoming mega-event with Floyd Mayweather Jr. coming out of retirement to face UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Mayweather-McGregor was officially announced last week, and takes place on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

That wouldn't be a bad place to land next. Maybe that's why he's turning down a career high payday to kill the Whyte hype.

If he fights Ortiz on the undercard I will become an instant fan of his and never say a bad things about him.. But I know better than that.. He's gona end up fighting Stiverne as a headliner in Alabama.

            Sounds great in principle

Chances f it happening though is probably 0% since his manger is quotes as saying its be the most legitimate fight of the night. Probably not the best way to get on the undercard by slamming the Main Event

He's also talking about getting paid three to five times what they usually get paid.

Dumbsquad should be the name. This is a date you take even if you get paid less then you usually do, because the future benefits you get from this kind of exposure by far outweigh any once off payment.

Unless of course they aint confident he can win, and win spectacularly too.

Yeah, put Wilder vs. Ortiz and I'd buy it for sure. Actually, that make this event the richest ever. Wilder nor Ortiz would never make it to a PPV otherwise. Win, win & even the fans win.

If he does he should fight Parker, he's gone quiet and isn't doing anything.
