Who Should Deontay Wilder Fight Next? Bermane Stiverne or Dillian Whyte (POLL)

This isn’t a fantasy matchup so before all you Wilder fans you say he should fight AJ, realise that these 2 are his only real options as Parker and AJ have fights already lined up. Hearn has already reached a deal with WBC to pay step aside to Stiverne for a Whyte fight.

AJ is hot property right now and everyone from UFC champions to guys at 175 like Andre ward, inactive guys like Fury and every other heavyweight wants a shot at him. You literally need to get in a queue to get a shot at AJ. Wilder has been offered a pass to the front of the queue if he can beat Whyte in London in front of UK fans he will immediately become the guy everyone wants to see AJ fight. He’s been offered £3 million plus us TV revenue which would net him over $4 million but he has declined the offer even though this is 5 times as much as he will earn against Stiverne in a rematch.

I personally believe Wilder will win but Whyte may expose some elements of Wilder’s lack of boxing technique. But I believe if he fights Whyte he will build his name in the UK as well as in the US amongst casuals as the lead up between these 2 trash talkers is bound to be entertaining and eventful.

    VOTE..

Dillian Whyte (£3million, + TV revenue, gets shot at AJ)

Bermane Stiverne (5x less money, boring fight, gets no closer AJ fight)
    11.76%

The only good thing about fighting Stiverne is it's "unfinished business."

He never knocked him out, and by doing so he could say he KO'd every opponent.

Whyte is the better pick because it helps to build up the USA vs. UK rivalry for the big unification showdown with Joshua.

Between these two yes Wilder should choose Whyte.

But what about if Stiverne doesn't agree to the step aside money?

Stiverne has been saying that he has been waiting a long time to get his rematch against Wilder to win the WBC title back.

I mean I for damn sure hope Wilder can avoid fighting Stiverne again, but we haven't heard from Stiverne in all of this yet. Any word on what his intentions are?

          From Hearn's latest statement:

"Wilder's team have got some issues they need to solve with their mandatory challenger, but we’ve offered them a big, big deal and they are interested"

Mauricio Sulaiman also said himself that Stiverne is willing to take the step aside Hearn is offering.

We're talking about Hearn here.. he makes **** happen.. remeber when Pulev and Ortiz said they want the fight next and will not accept step aside.. well they've stepped aside now.

Ah, Hearn offered Stiverne a big, big deal.

Well if Stiverne is good with it that would be ideal.

Man, so let's get this thing going, let's get Wilder vs Whyte made.

I would rather he fight Stiverne so that is over and done with then look to explore better options. Putting off the Stiverne fight solves nothing for Wilder, and fighting Whyte is a push so would much rather he take care of business that needs to be dealt with rather than an optional money fight that pushes anything decent possibilities down the road.

That all hinges on Hearn not just using this as a promotional tool, you know promoters like to throw out deals that are kind of pipe dreams to make guys they work with sound better and bigger than they are. I don't see anything that shows he has any real pull on Stiverne, or Don King or that the WBC does either because if they beat Wilder they can take that deal because Whyte will be close to mandatory status.

I voted for Stiverne for a few reasons. Stiverne is the number 1 WBC contender while Whyte is number 5. Stiverne is a better fighter than Whyte who has already been KOed by AJ. A fight with Whyte wouldn't make him that much more money. He will be well paid fighting Stiverne. Stiverne gave him his title shot and he owes him a rematch. I don't think he needs to fight Whyte to get a fight with AJ. If Wilder and AJ want to fight each other the fight will happen. If either man doesn't want to fight the other then the fight won't happen.
