Gennady Golovkin has revealed his fight with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez could be his last if their rivalry does not develop into a series. Their WBC, WBA, IBO and IBF middleweight unification match-up at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on September 16 has long represented the most enticing head-to-head for the boxing purist.

He's really considering retirement after this fight? The ****? Maybe he is declining way more than they're admitting? It's just really confusing for him to say "I feel like I'm 25," but I might retire, because every fight is extremely difficult. If his previous fights have been "very difficult" then I can't imagine what fighting Canelo is going to be like?

Could just be speaking bull**** to sell more PPV buys. I am a bit of a GGG nuthugger Id be getting the fight either way but if I i believed it was gunna be his last fight fan or no fan it would make it more appealing.

The majority of Mexicans never had his back to begin with because if they did then he would be a cash cow and fighting on PPV.

He's running away from his fade from Ward.

He already has an excuse when Canelo beats him.

When was he ever going to fight ward outside of the imaginations of a few du rags wearers on boxingscene...

They aren't even close in size...

Just like nobody took Ward's challenge to Wladimir Klitschko seriously. But Klitschko fans are a lil brighter.
