Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Discusses Canelo vs. Golovkin, Saunders

I am absolutely delighted that what will probably be the most eagerly anticipated fight of the decade between Saul Canelo' Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin has found the perfect UK home in BoxNation. September 16 is the date to ring in your diaries if you haven't already and we are planning to make it a bumper night of top class boxing on the Channel of Champions.

Interesting - if that is true then Jacobs must have bust up Golovkin more than seemed obvious from the fight.

It seems more likely to me that K2 took odlh at his word that if the Saunders fight was made there'd be no Canelo fight.

Thing is, as much as people grind on Saunders... if he's at 100% of his worth, he is practically impossible to beat with his pure boxing talent. Remains to be seen if he'll be that vs his next opponent (Lemieux?). But vs GGG or Canelo, I'm positive we'd see the best Saunders. And it would be a really tough fight for either opponent vs the Brit.

Warren said they were planning to come to the Jacobs fight and then were told not to. K2 was already thinking they would skip Saunders. Had nothing to do with Golovkin being sore after Jacobs. They were just killing time to announce Glovkin Canelo after the Chavez fight.

Is everyone writing off the biggest fight in history, Mayweather vs McGregor lol. I hope people will not be so put off by spending money on that fight.

Of course, FW's absolutely delighted that he's won the rights to screen the fight in the UK! "He'll make an absolute packet of ca$£ again"!

Only because BJS has kept that wbo titlé hostage for a long long time!!!!
