Dis*****g the indisputable low blow that Kovalev apparently threw

Here is the GIF that's circulating around the forums, posted by ******ed Robbie, which shows an apparent low blow by Kovalev. It is a GIF made from the Stadium view video.

That doesn't look like a low blow from either angle.

But if it was why would it be relevant? Low blows do happen in fights.

What's unacceptable is a ref jumping in and calling a stoppage when one fighter hunches over from a blatant low blow. You don't call a stoppage via a foul period.

the problem is ward never complained and remained a solider and went for what was his. kovalov went out like a b*tch with all of that crying.


kovalov fans are just like himself. crying, whining, and crying to any principle that will listen to him. sorry that the bully got his lunch money took this time.

It's bad officiating according to everyone's recount of events. Most Kovalev fans say it's bad because fight was stopped on a low blow. Some Ward fans say fight should have been stopped earlier after the big right by Ward, so that's bad officiating. Others claim Kovalev was giving up by bending over before the low blow was ever thrown. Late stoppage, bad officiating. Still others claim Kovalev should have been DQed earlier for faking a low blow on a clean shot, bad officiating. And even Ward himself is complaining about the bad officiating and rabbit punches that weren't called.
