I hope people realize how special GGG is. Idiots on this site tried to make Kovalev into something he is not.

Well, most people (including myself) believe that Kovalev defeated Ward in the first fight. That's a great accomplishment. Golovkin has never defeated a fighter of Ward's caliber.

Yes, Ward was the better man in the second fight. But still. When did Golovkin beat anyone like that as a pro? Nothing even close.

I'm not dogging Golovkin, I admire his style. But come on, man.

Golovkin already dropped Kovalev in sparring via a bodyshot. Kovalev came up with a BS excuse saying he was not fit. Kovalev used the same excuse vs Ward.

That is an interesting parallel. I recall the same story. But sparring isn't fighting.

And you haven't refuted my point. Golovkin has never faced an opponent who's even close to Ward's quality. Not even half as good.

I wish we can get Andre "SOG" Ward VS Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin at 170, imo its a much more interesting fight than Canelo/Golovkin, it would be a true matchup of the decade greater than Mayweather/Pacquaio and Wlad/Haye

How is it more interesting? GGG and Canelo weigh within like 2 lbs in the ring.

Ward wasn't much smaller than Kovalev. It's not a competitive fight just because of size/range IMO.

Ward is too big (and too good) for Golovkin. Maybe if they were the same size. But they aren't even close.

Canelo looks smaller than Golovkin, but he's much younger, and he's a much better fighter than anyone Golovkin has ever fought. So this looks to be a compelling, close matchup.

Some all time greats have ducked GGG for years. Dont make me post the articles. Ask anyone inside of boxing who is the most feared man in the sport.

What interests me is that Golovkin can fight on the inside unlike Kovalev, what will happens if Wards body attack has no damage on Golovkin?? We've seen Ward been dropped before, but we've never seen Golovkin gas out, I'm a huge SOG fan but Golovkin has the tools to beat Ward, and Ward has the tools to beat Golovkin, I would favor Ward but Golovkin has a better chance than Kovalev or Stevenson
