Former four division world champion Adrien Broner (33-2, 24 KOs) is giving high praise to his good friend, Floyd Mayweather Jr., for finalizing a fight with UFC superstar Conor McGregor. The Showtime Pay-Per-View fight was made official last Wednesday, for August 26th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Broner is actually speaking the truth here. Mayweather is a genius for making this fight, he'll earn over $200m for fighting against a guy who's never had a pro boxing fight.

Imagine working all your life in one job and becoming the best in your era at it. Then imagine one day you convince a guy who does a different job to challenge you to see if he can do your job better than you. Then imagine that as a result of that competition you will end upgetting paid hundreds of millions of dollars, regardless of the outcome.

If anyone wouldnt do this then you're an idiot.

I like this new self deprecating comedian version of AB better. Back when he was undefeated it was like he was just trying to be Floyd, and pretending to be the greatest. When Floyd said he was the best it was a lie, and when Broner said it it was definitely not true. Now that he's taken some losses, he's slightly more humble, and acts slightly more like a normal person who has troubles like everyone else and can laugh at themselves, unlike Floyd and AB when he was trying to act like Floyd who always tried to act infallible and perfect, which no real people can relate to.

It's funny how all you guys are saying Mayweather will earn all this money like its a sure thing... Mayweather will earn money, no doubt. But not no 200 million- not even 100 million. This fight isn't gonna do more than 1.2-1.3 million ppv's. This fight is a ****ing joke and everyone knows that so this fight isn't gonna sell as much as you and everyone else is predicting.
That's right, you heard it from me first!

A half billion to box a complete amateur. If Mayweather didn't take this I would have probably slapped him myself(Or thanked him for not, it's all the same).

little mini felon Floyd is a genius and a successful story

Hard as it is to believe and harder as it is admit little woman beating dwarf Floyd the felon ex-con is a genius in promoting his brand as disgusting and vile as it is. Why a clean living respectable honorable gentleman like Andre Ward is not accepted in America is beyond belief.

This event will generate alot of money for everyone involved except the dumbass fans that think Floyd is gonna lose this fight in anyway. #PunchersChance

& NO McNugget is NOT gonna throw a kick in frustration or try to choke out Floyd because dude would lose everything including his entire purse and will prob be banned for life.

I'll watch this train crash for sure because of the WWE aspect, But its gonna be a bad actual fight. But to what Broner mentioned this event defo is smart move for all parties.

Your out of your mind if you don't think it will make close to 2 mil in PPV buys. Not to mention the endorsements and insane gate.

I doubted this was possible until it was announced. The buzz is like nothing I have ever seen. My local sports radio station has talked about boxing only once and it was for Pac vs May. It was minimal talk. But once this fight was announced, they spent 1 hour breaking it down. Now every morning they mention it. ESPN spent countless hour interviewing people, and talking about the fight once it was announced.

Mcgregor nor Floyd have not heated up the antics yet to create more buzz once that happens for get about it. There will be massive promotion in every UFC event until the fight. All of Floyd's Mayweather promotion cards will have mentions. Dana White is a master of promotion mixed with Floyd the man that made 24/7 come true. Plus McGregor the antics king trash talking champ. This fight will buzz crazy even if its one sided, it will sell. At the end of the day people buy Entertainment, ask the folks that watch WWE
