Comments Thread For: Broner Insulted By Being a 5-1 Underdog Against Mikey Garcia

NEW YORK Being a slight underdog against Mikey Garcia would be one thing. Adrien Broner cannot comprehend being nearly a 5-1 underdog, though. Most Las Vegas and Internet sports books have installed the undefeated Garcia as that heavy of a favorite a month-plus prior to their July 29 showdown at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (-750/+450).

It's what it is" bro", if you're so confident in yourself take half the money they're paying you and put it on yourself to win...

since he always either underperforms or loses a competitive matchup, 5-1, is pretty conservative.

After this beat down, the once possible Pacquiao train vanishes for good.

You hit the nail on the head. What's he got to lose? Baby's and mommas get it anyway while he rides around in cheap rentals. All he sees is disrespect, the opportunities go neglected.

Well broner is a head case and has a low punch output so I expect garcia to win. But those odds may be worth the risk. Garcia has performed well vs slower, smaller, plodding type of opponents. Broner does things that Mikey has never seen so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
