  • Comments Thread For: Broner: Don't Care What Anybody Says; Kovalev Was Ready to Quit!

NEW YORK Adrien Broner saw quit in Sergey Kovalev on Saturday night. As the former four-division champion watched his friend, Andre Ward, and Kovalev go at it in their light heavyweight championship rematch, Broner noticed a fast-tiring Kovalev looking for a way out of a tough fight. That was especially true, according to Broner, once Ward drilled Kovalev with a flush right hand to his jaw that hurt the former champion badly with 1:14 to go in the eighth round.

Kov's biggest mistake was re-matching a fighter that can adjust. Ward was ready for this fight, Kov came with the same game plan.

The person who wrote article must be a Kovelev fan because he stated that the fight was stopped after Ward landed three consecutive body shot below the belt. Funny how people still believe Kov was cheated out of another victory. Boneheads,SMH

Broner is saying what we already know. It's crazy that people are shamelessly pretending like the last shots are what took Kov out. He had doubled over multiple times and turned away multiple times in the fight. Weeks might not had stopped the fight if Kov hadn't gotten into the fetal position defenselessly multiple times throughout the fight. He was looking for a way out once he realized that he wasn't going to beat Ward. It's crazy that the body language experts who were microanalyzing Ward's smile after the first fight have nothing to say about Kov's body language after Weeks stopped the fight. We all have bias, but the anti-Warders should be put on suicide watch. Great call Broner. He may not be the most dedicated, but he signs up for challenging fights and he has battled on in his losses.

kov got his azz beat he came with the same gameplan, that jab of kovs however, is a thing of beauty tho. funny how everyone wants to talk about the final punch but want to ignore what happened that led to kov faded and ready to quit on the ropes. total classless fan base everybody is on to your bllsht!!! I was a kov fan but fk him and his fans.

also its so typical how no kkkov fans mention the multiple rabbit punches he landed on ward... if border line low blows are bad for boxing how are punches behind the head not bad for boxing? where is the outrage about rabbit punches when thats what kills fighters??? thats how you know these sore losers have no integrity..... tony weeks is a bad ref but these guys just love making escuses.... tony weeks even let maidana low blow mayweather all night and let him land about a dozen rabbit punches on mayweather... so there goes that myth about protection american fighters...

I watched the video they were low blows bad call by the ref but I do agree Kovalev was looking to get Ward DQ but back fired had he been an American he would have got the DQ and won the fight
