Comments Thread For: BJ Flores Wants Lucas Browne Showdown After Guivas Bout

Heavyweight contender BJ Flores (33-3) will return to the ring Saturday night against Nick Guivas (13-5-2) at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. The Iron Boy promoted card will be Flores' second fight in a row in front of his hometown fans. The 38-year-old Flores stopped Jeremy Bates at the same venue in front of sold out crowd in the first round in February.

I would be ok with that fight. It would be a good fight for both guys. Flores got crushed by Bellew at CW but maybe he has a few decent fights in him at HW before he is done. He is usually in good shape & doesn't have to get down under the 200lbs mark so he can concentrate on sparring & the fight itself more than making weight. It would be interesting to see this fight because I have never really been sold on Browne even after he scored the upset knock out of Chagaev. Chagaev was clearly out of shape & simply gassed but I still have to give Browne some credit for getting off the canvas to put himself in the position to get the KO. Browne will have to wait to get any sort of title fight so why not take on the 38 year old Flores? He is a decent name in the sport & is a blown up CW so he should be the favourite to win. Flores is also the WBA #11 ranked fighter after capturing the NABA title so there is some good to come out of win over Flores.

BJ has ceased to be relevant in World Boxing , I suggest he goes back to what he does best and holds David Hayes pen!s in his mouth for as long as he can

Flores would probably win the first couple rounds outboxing Browne until a right hand detonates on his chin and sends it into the 10th row

Bellew knocked him out and Danny Green completely shut him out with a wide UD. I give him zero chance against Browne.
