judah folded mayweather like a chair. look hes not defending himself so the fight had to be stopped! nice tko win zab! whats next for you? baldomir rematch?
Imagine if the final scoring play in a superbowl was a play with two forward passes. Hell if it was the jOakland Raiders, I'd expect the fanbois to say:
1: So what. The other team made an illegal tackle earlier in the game.
2: Raiders was leading so it was just academic.
3: The second throw wasn't a forward pass.
Suddenly, the new narrative is that Kovalev is "weak" to the body.
Ask yourself this question: why wasn't Kovalev hurt at all by 12 rounds of body shots in the first fight?
For all the people calling Kovalev a quitter, let Andre Ward punch you as hard as he can in the family ***els and let's see if you can even remain on your feet, let alone continue fighting.
First, I didn't say there wasn't a low punch. I said that wasn't what ended the fight.
Remember when Zab Judah fell to the ground after what he thought was low blow from Khan. The ref didn't call it and counted him out. It took a few replays to see that punch was borderline. The ref doesn't have instant replay to go by in the middle of a fight. Kovalev tried the same tactic before with what he probably thought was a low blow and the ref told him to keep fighting, why would he think the ref would do something different at the end of the fight?
probably because these punches were even lower? 2 hit him in the letters and the other hit his leg before landing in his stomach. how do we know its a tactic? maybe he was doubled over in pain and thats all he could do? i think its pretty silly to blame the guy being fouled for not reacting in the right way. just follow the rules ref. and boxing should have instant replay but that wouldnt be good for getting away with "mistakes" like this. these type of judgement calls that always favor the a-side wouldnt be as easy to screw up.
last 3 punches were clearly low. i see the ward fanboys are simply going to pretend they werent. very sad.
if you slow the punches you can see the first hits him right around the letters on kovalevs trunks and slightly higher-clearly low
second punch actually hits his left leg first and then goes up into his stomach-leg is clearly low or are you denying that?
third punch hits him square in the letters-clearly low
these werent even the "belt line" punches that ward landed earlier. these were well below.
he stopped defending himself and doubled over because he was hit with illegal punches. same thing happened in judah-mayweather but they didnt stop the fight and give judah a tko win. you would have been outraged and rightfully so. a lot of times people hit the canvas from being low blowed are those now going to be ko wins if you are a fan of the fighter throwing the low blows? are you going to use the well he would have won anyway argument? it was a terrible call full of a fight with terrible reffing. unfortunately another ward fight goes down in the books as a foul filled controversy that favored the entitled hometown guy
True. The low blows were undeniable. You can clearly see them and would acknowledge them if you were actually looking and were honest about it. Its not Ward's fault that the ref was clearly incompetent or had other motivations. Still can't deny the fouls. Its unfortunate. I'm not sure Kovalev would have recovered either way (he was pretty gassed) but because of the immature stoppage we'll never know.

This kinda stuff actually happens in football all the time. You really don't watch American sports much huh? And before you go on s tangent, this kinda stuff happens in Futbol all the time as well. So basically yea, it happens in most major sports.

All the time huh?
When was the last time there was two forward passes in a superbowl?
Tony Weeks should just give up and retire. As the article says he could and should have given a count. period.
I've seen a lot of posters say "yeah, what about the overhand right?" ... well it was a good shot but let me ask you "Are you fighting at 100% of your potential if moments before you were low-blowed?" This should be just common sense but apparently it isn't around these parts.
I mean, do I fancy my chances to win a street fight if somehow I can get in some free hits to the balls. I think I do.

I wasn't talking about your exact example. The point is refs miss calls, blow calls ALL the time in football. Sigh. Be more original. Stop whining. Suck it up cupcake. Everyone wants to be fans of the tough killer. But then that killer has the fight beat out of him and all we hear is whining. The two don't add up.
I got of give it to the anti-Ward fans (Be honest. You don't even like Kov.). You will try to make Ward take a loss by any means necessary. You'll even settle for a DQ, just so Ward can't have claim to the being the best fighter in boxing. He should clearly be #1 P4P now. You can't keep crying about inactivity. He has fought 4 times since March of last year. Some of you are running out of excuses.... Well, not Kovalev. He is the Ambassador of Excuses. The fight was called No Excuses, but he and his fans didn't get the memo.
