A newfound appreciation of the body punching skills of Andrew Golota

Now that we have redefined what a low blow is after the stoppage this weekend, how does that change our view of Golota?

Golota was doing some excellent borderline body-punching on Bowe, and shoulda have been granted 2 stoppage victories over Bowe.

    Golota was before his time.

Also, Salido threw no low punches against Loma by these standards. He beat him fair and square with clean bodywork and should be on the p4p list arguably in retrospect.

Andrew Golota was soundly outboxing Bowe before the **** shots, so therefore those DQ's should be turned into TKO W's.

Golota needs to get into the HOF on the strength of those 2 W's over fellow HOFer Bowe.

Like this lowblow that made Kovalev bend over looking to the ref for help?

Why was Kovalev trying to sell a low blow on clean punches to the body?

You mean this lowblow where half his glove is clearly on the HUBLOT logo at 1:48 of Round 8:

Those used to be considered borderline shots. Not clean, but not flagrant fouls. Should be warned against if continued. That is if we played by the same rules we had for decades.

Now is the new era, though. Now those are clean, and punching the **** is borderline at worst.

Nobody has thrown a three punch combo to the groin like Golota. The foul pole has cemented his name into history
