Tony Weeks tweets, blows were low, stoppage a mistake

Well where does this leave us?

Personally, I thought it should have been a 10 count and not a stoppage, seemed like a bizarre decision. As to whether the blows were low, I figured they were belt line but legal.

But now Weeks himself is saying on replay they were low blows and that it was a mistake to stop the fight.

"I am being criticised a lot unjustly. I have watched the replay and have to admit I was wrong I missed the lowblows from Ward #WardKovalev2"

"I stopped the fight due to Kovalev not protecting himself had I saw the shots were low I would not have stopped the fight. My mistake"

Probably no chance to see a third fight unless Kovalev gets himself a mandatory position or beats Adonis.

If it's fake I'll own up and apologize, but how do people know this?

Bob Arum follows the account and it's got back stage photos of him instructing fighters.

How many times are chumps going to fall for this fake twitter account on here? Over Under is 33.

As if Weeks would be tweeting about something like this.

The account is thanking a fake Al Haymon account.

I don't know how anyone can say those punches weren't low. No denying it. Thanks for posting that video.

The account was quoted by an ESPN writer,
                    http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...ey-kovalev-win

Presumably that guy knows the account is real before he quotes it.

If it's fake they fooled better journalists than myself.
