I had Kov up 4 rounds to 3 going into the 8th. Ward had a strong 8th rounds and hurt Kov but not hurt to the point where the fight needed to be waved off. Especially given the low blow shots that landed right before Weeks waved it off.

People can say that Kov was doubled over and wasn't responding. How else was he suppose to react after getting uppercutted in/around the nutz with 3 consecutive shots?

For the sake of Argument, Lets say the first punch wasn't low. Weeks had to have seen the one or 2 after that went low and hit Kovalev under the beltline. He was staring right at it. Why call off the fight rather then warn ward and give Kov time to recover?

well that I will give u, the stoppage was not the best, however kov was already showing signs that he was ready to give and stopped defending himself. turning away from opponent, bending over faking low blows looking for a way out, rabbit punching, crying to the ref etc.... these all proved he was finished imo this is why weeks said fk it. just my assessment.
