Why is HBO trying to help Main Events overturn Tony Weeks decision?

I dunno about other fans, what I saw is a fight where Kovalev wasn't given an opportunity to quit or take a knee or barely survive a round or get floored or anything.Comment

^^^^This. Bob Bennet was clueless with regard to the Rigo/Flores fight. Also, you can clearly see the low blows on Kovalev in any video you chose to look at. Either way the fault lies with Tony Weeks and whoever oversees his incompetence. Kovalev might have gassed out but we'll never know due to the early stoppage.
Are you saying you think he should have waited til he was asked by the NSAC? I suppose that's reasonable, but do you actually know for sure that ain't what happened? Bennet says he spoke to Hauser and Hauser sent him a video - it's not an unreasonable supposition to make that Bennet asked for the video even if he didn't specifically say so. Anyway, I'm thinking this is almost certainly a non-issue.Comment

Where else are they gonna get the footage from? They had to wait for the replays to be provided by the hbo production truck during the rigo debacle too.Comment

Yep. He doesn't work in produciton.
The rule is ******ed. The rule states it's up to the ref to make the call. He's asking everybody else what happened because he didn't see what happened. Sometimes the 3rd man in the ring doesn't have the best view. There needs to be instant replay and someone outside the ring correcting calls.
Former HBO employee
Of course they can supply it. But why is Hauser getting involved stating his opinion? Call HBO. Have them send the tape. No reason to talk to Hauser at all
I don't think he should've stated his opinion at all. The call is up to the NSAC and he doesn't work for them, he works for HBO. Why is Hauser sending videos? If they need a video he can call HBO production crew and have them send it over.
Maybe Hauser is just the guy they had the number for? Their go to guy at HBO. Maybe they thought he'd be able to get the video they wanted without going through a string of underlings - that he'd know the right people to call. I don't know the truth of it, but maybe it would help if you specified a bit more clearly why you've come to the conclusions you have. How would you answer your own question?Comment

Yeah but Bennet does work for NSAC doesn't he? If he called Hauser and asked him what he thought or if he could help him get some footage I don't see the issue there. Both of them just doing their job. Do you have information to the effect that this isn't what happened? There's nothing in the article that suggests it was Hauser that reached out to Bennet is there?

It's not Hauser's decision. And it's Hauser we're talking about here, don't play ******. I hate when people play ****** when they know the real deal. You know what Hauser is really about. The same guy who suggested Haymon should be lynched. The same guy who had to be pressured into writing a dislaimer he worked for the network that banned Haymon when he wrote that hit piece on Haymon. The same guy who lied about Floyd's TUE exemption and made it seem as if Floyd didn't alert USADA before his TUE. Play them fat girl games with somebody else cuz I'm not the one.Comment
