The TKO absolutely was debatable. Do you really think everyone who thought those blows were low have some personal agenda against Ward?

Of course they have an agenda against Ward.

I mean who's gonna sit through the fight with a straight face and say that Kovalev wasn't done even before those beltline punches? Ward cracked Kovalev on the chin with a right hand from hell and Kovalev wanted no more because of that and Ward's slippery defense and body punching. Kovalev fighting spirit was destroyed by Ward last night. Plain and simple, you all can come up with whatever excuses you want but the fact is that Weeks was consistent with what he pointed out was low in the beginning of the fight.

So everyone who saw low blow shots has an agenda against Ward?

I can tell you that the people I watched the fight with only knew Ward from us watching the fight last year and pretty much all of us thought that was a fight he'd won albeit narrowly. And all of them asked me several times how in the hell a fight could be stopped on a series of low blows. One asked me several times why a shot from earlier in the eighth that looked very low and seemed to put Kovalev on ***** street was never even looked at again by the replay.

The takeaway for them was that a fighter had been stopped on a combination of fouls. Feel free to call them Ward haters or whatever if it makes you feel better.

... no it wasn't... "the nature of the win" resulted from Ward's preparedness for this fight... This time around, Ward showed up to outbox Kovalev and that's what he did...

Great. He put Kovalev away by stopping him with a series of foul shots. That's the takeaway of many observers that, believe it or not, did not have a stake in this fight.

Which fouls? Show them to me.

The only fouls I saw was Kovalev's constant rabbit punching.

And lol the only shot I saw put Kovalev on ***** street was a right hand to the jaw that had him wanting out of the fight.

And yea i'm surprised a bunch of casuals fell for Kovalev's acting. You're not making a good case for them.

... I remember Lucas Matthysse eating even harder low shots from Danny... but Lucas stood his ground and fought to the very end...

it's more trolling and gloating if anything. kovalov fans have made it a POINT to lie and manipulate how the fight went due to their a**hole being hurt. their guy broke down mentally. (can't accept it) belt line shots have been grossly exaggerated into full on nut shots constantly for 8 rounds. of course i am about to troll and irritate the living **** out of u LOL can't talk sense with someone who has an agenda of being hurt & willing to turn the fight how ever they would like to see it to sleep better at night,

anyway gotta go. got some more FUDGE boys to hack.

if the same sequence happened to the other guy you'd be calling them low blows. and you know it. a lot of you know it. but you have no shame.

I'm no video editor and I'm not particularly interested in dissecting blurry frames on youtube anyway. I saw low punches both live and on a replay, so did a lot of observers that weren't mere casual fans or white supremacists. There aren't great angles of every punch Ward threw against Kovalev against the ropes, but all three looked spectacularly low and the third, which HBO replayed a few times, certainly was. That we're even resorting to frame by frame discussions shows there was plenty of reasonable doubt about whether those punches were legal in the first place.

I have no interest in seeing the fight overturned, I agree that the stoppage was inevitable. The stoppage we got was bad.

I also remember the referee not stepping in to end the match on those fouls.
