I remember back in 1989 when Hagler was asked who he thought was the best prospect in boxing and he instantly said "Nigel Benn", and mentioned that Benn had a lot of natural talent. And this was AFTER the Watson fight!

In a mythical match between Benn and Hagler, I see Marvin kayoing him in a fight potentially more brutal than Hagler-Hearns. The fans would have gotten their money's worth, no doubt.

Unfortunately, that was quoted the night before Benn went out against Sugarboy Malnga. High praise from a legend, but a shame to think back and realize that Benn went out like that against Malinga.

I doubt it, Benn was finished PHYSICALLY after the McClellan fight. His list of injuries from that fight is so long that I haven't got the time to list them!

It would of been awesome while it lasted, but ultimately Benn's chin would of let him down.

im sorry but Benn is simply overrated due to his power. he could not stand a chance against prime RJJ or even Eubank, who also ******.

Benn stands more than a chance against ANYBODY.

And it was Eubank who most people thought wouldn't stand a chance against Benn
