People want to act like the right hand that landed didn't come after Kov was hurt with the first of four low blows that round. Or that Ward wasn't just straight up hitting low on purpose.

Ward is a shiiiit fighter, everyone knows it.

Kov isba jerk, so it happened to the right guy.

But Ward is a dirty fighter and now it's undeniable. It's every damn fight he wins by some dirty azz move. Everytime.

Did you see the pre fight instructions by Weeks? He stated anything on the belt line was good. Ward only hit Kov low once, which was in the last round. Even that shot was partially Kov's fault since he was bent over trying to avoid being punched again.

That's exactly what I've been saying. If anything, the Ref robbed Ward of a legit (technical) knockout.

I've always been a fan of stopping it a punch early rather than a punch late. But I almost wish Weeks had let it go. Because I honestly think there's a chance Kovalev quits on hia stool. But Kovalev was in a dangerous spot and making no legitimate attempt to protect himself. That can get a guy seriously injured if the ref lets it go.

Judah was losing that fight badly and threw the low blow intentionally to bail himself out. And Judah's blow landed square in the crotch while most Ward's low blows were on the waistline and upper thigh. He definitely landed some low blows but Kovalev definitely pushed his head down and threw rabbit punches. It equals itself out.

Yeah, that's true, many people would probably be doing mental gymnastics if that were the case. We're all biased to a lesser or greater degree. But let's imagine if it was Kovalev doing the low blows and the ref stopped the fight too early.....We'd be reading posts from Kovalev fans saying it was a legit stoppage and Ward fans would be calling Kovalev a cheater and the nutcracker.

I'm not saying what Ward did was legal, but you have to admit that if it was the other way around Kovalev fans would be taking advantage of it just as much as Ward fans are.
